Why Chen's

Peace

Empty 2

The way of Taiji, Chen Taiji in particular, can be seen from many perspectives. It was a path to peace for me, and I hope it will be the same for future families. To avoid the destructive forces already at play, make them "hit empty." We will have to understand peace. This is why it is necessary to know and practice:

What peace is,

how it feels to be at peace,

how it feels to become one with peace,

how to use peace and

how to make peace.

All martial arts share this potential at the highest levels. However, Chen Taiji cannot be properly practiced on any level without peace as the intention. This is why being overly thoughtful, aggressive, cunning, needy, or arrogant significantly hampers understanding and development. These states of mind are not peace-filled. The saying at the beginning is," You must empty your cup."

Emptying one's cup is difficult since we have adopted the belief that competition and violence provide us with what we want. This contagious mindset exists worldwide. Giving up what has already been hard won seems silly, but Taiji demands such silliness.
